banana nut bread

Banana Nut Bread
2 ¾ cups all purpose
1 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
2 ripe bananas peel and mashed
About one cup mashed
¾ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
2 teaspoons vanilla or grated orange peel
Grease and flour loaf pan
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
In a mixing bowl cream butter or margarine with sugar until
Fluffy beat in eggs one at a time until fluffy . Stir in flour mixture alternately with mashed bananas.
Fold in pecans or walnuts and orange peel [may substitute 1 teaspoon vanilla for orange peel ]
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes cool 10 minutes. Make a day
Ahead of time for best favor.
